So we created a line of five: hand & body wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and bath salt. The shampoo is dedicated — hair and skin need different treatments and shouldn't share a bottle of "hair and body wash". All five carry the same standards: carefully selected ingredients, natural scents, award-winning design, made in Germany, with refill options for the property.

Provenance: Made in Germany, Designed to Be Remembered
Every Plainly formulation is developed and produced in Germany, in small batches, with certified manufacturing partners rather than a trading intermediary. That is why a guest can turn the bottle over and read a formulation that stands up to scrutiny — and why custom hotel toiletries, bespoke scents and private label are possible at volumes a single boutique property can commit to.
The amenity line is deliberately narrow. The hand & body wash is sulfate-free, cleansing with mild plant-derived surfactants and enriched with almond oil and rosemary extract, so hands do not feel tight after the basin. The shampoo is built around argan oil, almond oil and licorice extract, and stays a dedicated shampoo — hair and skin need different treatments and shouldn't share a bottle. The conditioner pairs argan and almond oil for smooth, manageable hair. The body lotion is lightweight, with hyaluronic acid, panthenol, sweet almond oil, vitamin E and rosemary extract. All four carry the signature clary sage & lavender scent, are vegan and paraben-free, and are available in 250ml guest bottles and 5L refill canisters.
The packaging is designed by Winkreative, Monocle's sister agency, and carries an iF Design Award — a bottle that belongs on the basin of a property that has agonised over everything else in the room.

Stock line orders typically ship within 2–3 weeks. Private label and bespoke scent projects usually run 8–12 weeks from brief to delivery, depending on packaging and approvals.
